The Amazing Digital Circus Episode 4 Fast Food Masquerade was……..definitely something. Something depressing, cathartic, scary, sad, happy, weird, normal……other adjective. I wouldn’t call it as good as Episode 3 The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor but it definitely felt like a personal vent art piece straight from the mind and heart of Gooseworx. Unfulfilled artistic dreams, being stuck in a normal fast food 9 to 5 job for the rest of your life, stuff we all dread I’m sure and maybe something Goose had to go through before they became popular with animation and partnered with Glitch Productions. As far as a story goes, it’s good with that as well. Pomni meets up with Gummigoo again which results in kinda sorta flirting, Jax has to watch an employee reevaluation tape which wears him down, Ragatha gets to be on the sauce, Zooble gets to be a good friend, Kinger gets to be a bull rider, Caine gets to be Caine, it’s all good stuff. And of course Gangle really gets to shine as the episode’s main star, having conflict with a new unbreakable comedy mask and being put back in her old job as a normal day shift manager. I feel like there’s a great Amazing Digital Circus theory in there just waiting to be pulled out, but I’m too busy to be bothered right now.
